What is your life philosophy?

I believe I was born to be a designer, I try to approach everything in my life as a opportunity. I see each problem I face as a design problem that has a possible solution. I also try to have integrity in everything i do, I never want to say that something is “good enough” if there is still room for growth and finally I try to enjoy every activity I take on no matter how large or small, life is too short no to have fun.

Which designs or products do you think would/could benefit the Arab region?

I believe that there is an incredible opportunity for the Arab region to emerge as a key market for fashionable wearables, especially high end jewelry and beautiful, fashionable, accessories that deliver high-tech connectivity for well-being, communication and data storage. I also see a demand for interactive environments and art installations that work with the incredible architecture that goes into building a truly smart city.

Which city do you find most inspirational and why?

I love Brooklyn. No matter where I travel, I always come back to Brooklyn to find the inspiration for my next project. The mix of people, cultures, ideas and energy is like no place I’ve ever experienced.

Which is your favourite material to work with and why?

I love working with textiles. Textiles are incredible materials, they are both ancient and futuristic, they can be gossamer light or thick and insulating, they can protect you from harsh environments and drape like a second skin.
